FUN FACTS 

>>

We connected over a mutual love of the TV show FRIENDS... and our first date was a FRIENDS Scene-It showdown, complete with Joe's custom-made "Frankie Says Relax" t-shirt.
Kristin won.

We are huge fans of Owl City. Our first road trip was to see him in concert, and all of the music on our wedding day was Owl City. We play his music regularly for our students. The only thing left for us to do is meet him!

We love hibachi food! (How do they make it to taste so good?!)
Our scarring hibachi incident was when the chef lost control of his egg and it ended up on Kristin's lap. We still get nervous during that part to this day.

We also can never get enough of Starbucks, and will use any excuse to validate a reason why we need to get our drinks of choice.
(Oh? It's your dog's birthday? I think we should probably get Starbucks...)

OUR STORY

Our journey started when we met at elementary school... not as students, but as teachers! Kristin was beginning her third year of teaching, and Joe was just hired as the new art teacher. After the year of connecting over emails and secret dates, Joe proposed in the school's beautiful courtyard, with colleagues, family and friends peering in from the windows of the classrooms!

We were married exactly one year later, with students and staff present for the celebration. Now we are living in Rochester Hills and raising two boys, who fill our home with so much love and laughter! We thank God for the amazing path that He is leading us on, and love doing so much of our lives together!

THE K&J WEDDING EXPERIENCE

Step 1: Let's do Coffee!

Your photographer is with you on your wedding day more than your family, so we want to make sure we click! We want to hear all about you, and answer any questions you have about your special day! 

Step 2: Make it Real!

Yay! You're ready to save your date! We will send you a contract to sign, as well as information for how to put down your deposit. Now that you're an official K&J couple, let's get to the fun stuff!...

Step 3: Engagement Photos

Prior to your photos, you will receive our custom style guide to help you select the perfect outfits and help you feel more prepared! We will help you feel comfortable by coaching you through the whole session, and making sure you look your best! After the session, you'll receive a gallery of images to share how you'd like!

Step 4: Planning your Perfect Day

We will send you a wedding questionnaire to help you create a timeline that will ensure you have a stress-free, joyful day without missing a thing! We will help you build in time for your classic family photos, editorial, magazine-like detail shots, fun bridal party shots with your closest friends, and the priceless shots of you as a couple to cherish forever!

Step 5: Your Wedding Day!!!

Your day has arrived! Your job is to relax and enjoy your day while we get to work in capturing your memories! We believe in telling the full story of your day, so we always shoot for at least 8 hours. We work hard to get you a wide variety of perfect portraits and candid shots so you'll have the best of both worlds! Our favorite time of the day is our portrait time with you as newlyweds!

Step 6: The Memories

After your wedding day is over, you will receive the high-resolution images from your day--hundreds of them! Plan a special time together to have a viewing party... we hear from our couples that they love reliving their day by looking through their photos!
